Before breakfast

On Saturday morning, while I was preparing the guinea pigs breakfast of fresh fruit and vegetables, Grant spotted a pair of rabbits in the middle garden. (which is safe from cats and dogs)

I caught the second bunny retreating into the bushes
Looking through the kitchen window I photographed this hot-air balloon over the valley

A few minutes later, Grant sitting at the computer, noticed this meerkat, also foraging for breakfast in the middle garden
 Isn't it cute?

This time I was quicker off the mark and managed this series of photos

I'm linking to Our World Tuesday here

Moon and rainbow

It's rained almost every afternoon since the moon starting waxing. So clouds overhead prevent me from getting good photos. Last night I managed a few...

Waxing gibbous; visibility 74%; age 10 days

We're so grateful for the rain; bring it on. I'll take my chances when the night is clear to get photos...

After another storm on Saturday afternoon, I walked outside and was greeted by this beautiful rainbow.

Isn't it beautiful?

HAPPY MONDAY TO YOU ALL!

Mountain moggies update

Hi Bozo and Mum's blogger friends; this is Ambrose. I don't think there are photos of me in today's post but it doesn't matter!
Unca Shadow goes to the outside garden to meet Mum and the dogs when they return from their early morning walk!
Here he runs ahead to wait for breakfast in the rondawel
Aunty Chappie ran so fast that she had both her back legs off the grass here. The beeeg horse watches her
Unca Shadow's tail is very fluffy while he and Aunty Chappy look at each other
The dogs watch Thandiwe and Namusa having their lunch (Mum says you'd think Skabenga is never fed!)

Dad Ginger clawing the wood chopping block
Many yoomens think cat's sharpen their claws this way;

Cats scratch for many reasons: to remove the dead outer layer of their claws, to mark their territory by leaving both a visual mark and a scent (they have scent glands on their paws), and to stretch their bodies and flex their feet and claws.
Dad Ginger on "his" log!
