Next week I fly from Bloemfontein to Johannesburg on the first leg of my journey to North Africa. In Johannesburg I board the international flight for Addis Ababa, where I have an hour's wait and then I board the plane for Khartoum
OK, so I've done it. I've booked my air ticket to the Sudan. At first I decided to fly out on 5th September. Then I brought the date forward to 27th August. Last Saturday, when I put another chore on hold until "next-week-because-I-still-have-ample-time-before-I-leave", I picked up the telephone and booked my ticket for the 20th.
Now I have to finish all my preparations; I have to be ready to leave home within a week from today.
In a few days' I'll post about my final prepartions.
Hi Jo----Wow---your trip is SOON. I guess you'll have to work hard now to get totally ready. How long will you be gone???
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you are getting to go though---and you'll have a wonderful trip.
Hugs,
Betsy

I'm sure you must be excited about going. Have a safe journey.
ReplyDeleteOh Jo, how exciting for you ! I am sure your hubby can't wait to see you again & have you there with him, either. I look forward to hearing about your final preparations .....
ReplyDeleteYou sound excited and I can understand that. We too are preparing to leave on a tour through the Kimberley region of "Outback" Australia. We go on Tuesday. We have to fly from Brisbane to Sydney and change planes for Broome in Western Australia. It will take about 8 hours but we don't leave the country, like you, and so we don't have the problems of international travel.
ReplyDeletelooking forward to seeing your travels on the blog.
I look forward to hearing more about your trip, how exciting!
ReplyDeleteSunny :)
Have a wonderful vacation!
ReplyDeleteHi Jo... Me again... I know you are busy now but if you have time, please check my blogs (yesterday's and today's). I wrote 'my' story..
