Leaving...

Even though this has been on the cards for the past six weeks, we've not been sure until last week. We're leaving Khartoum. The project Grant has been involved with has ended and we are going home to South Africa for the time being. We may move on to another African country; just depends on what the Lord has planned for us.

To move back to SA would be quite simple except that we have a cat to take back with us. It has been a hectic few days to get Shadow's export and import permits, weigh bill and customs forms sorted out. I will elaborate on the red-tape within a few days.

We fly out next week on Wednesday 13 October at 4h40 in the morning. Shadow is going as manifest cargo on the same flight.

It is almost impossible to take birds into South Africa, so while I'm sorry to say goodbye to our dear little budgies, we are able to hand these feathered beauties over to Robyn, one of the Australian teachers we met in the desert.

Our budgies will go to dearest Robyn (one of the Australian teachers whome we met in the desert last mont) and continue to live the life of Riley!
