Home in South Africa

This is a quick post to say we arrived home (in our house) at 3pm on Sunday 4 September. I'll be back later (probably tomorrow) with a longer post.

Thanks everyone for the comments and well-wishes. We had a wonderful trip. For those who wondered who's looking after the Kenya cats, Johan cares for them over the weekend, and during the week Naomi and Stanley will be there for them.

  1. Just dropped by to wish you a happy homecoming! I know your home cat will be delighted to have you back and the ones you have left behind will welcome you with open arms on your return.

Safe journey. I look forward to further posts of your adventures.

  10. For some reason I am unable to leave a comment on your "Home in SA Sept 2011," your Sept. 7th post, so I'll leave it here. Joel is SO cute and I'm glad you and Grant got to spend time with him. The cats and dogs look sublimely happy at their good fortune--food treats and a romp on the golf course treat.

I read about the Namaqua National Park and Namaqua Nature Reserve. They sound like beautiful places this time of year. That's similar to the Mojave Desert in southern California which is covered with wildflowers briefly each springtime. Have a safe trip with your friends. (((Hugs))) Pat

  13. Have fun. Your latest post sounded like you are off on a lovely trip. I couldn't find the comment tab. How the animals must adore you coming home not to mention family.
