Last week I managed to catch the moon in a final stage before it had fully waxed. I took the photo above while at the club on Wednesday, 2 May
The next morning on the way to Shinyanga airport to catch the early morning flight to Dar es Salaam, I managed to photograph the sun rising over the African veld. As always the ubiquitous thorn tree graces the landscape Although the photo was taken from a fast moving vehicle and has a slight blur, it is totally un-enhanced. This is Africa at its best!
On Saturday 5th May, just before full moon, I managed to photograph the moon again from my very treed and bushy garden. You can make out distortions in the foreground which are leaves/branches through which I had to focus!

Beautiful moon pictures ! I tried often to take a picture of the moon, but it's always bad !
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of the moon and sunset. Celestial objects make great subjects, especially when photographed in your exotic landscape.
ReplyDeleteThe first picture with the moon is perfection!!! I really really like it.
ReplyDeleteLove the sunrise photo too.

Spectacular moon shots, Jo, both the waxing moon and the full moon. The sunset is gorgeous. African sunsets seem to be some of the most beautiful I have even seen.

ReplyDeleteGreat shots of the moon. I haven't mastered that yet.
