Officially the end of winter!

Today, 31 August, winter draws to an end in the Southern Hemisphere. 

 Wildflowers abound in the veld...






To get the mountains in the background, I lay on my side - then almost couldn't get up because of favoring my injured right leg !

    The calendar says it is spring. The sun is getting up earlier too. The temperatures are not so sure. Love your wildflowers.

    So beautiful, but that means summer is drawing to a close where I live. Six months from now (at the end of February) is when our snowiest time of the years starts!
