As we left the garden yesterday, I noticed that the only horse on the farm, was standing a lot higher than the cattle. I dashed back inside fetch my camera...

ReplyDeleteBeautiful countryside. I like that you live near a farm as I'm sure it is very peaceful. Once Skabenga gets used to all the new critters I'm sure he will have a blast. The horse is very pretty.

ReplyDeleteOnce I saw a cow that had walked up the sloping end of a hay trailer and was happily munching away on a hay bale the other cows could just barely reach.

I grew up in the countryside, so there were farms across the road, up and down the road, one even behind our property with dairy cows, so they would regularly be in the field closest to our land. The farmer even put a couple of donkeys in with them to keep them company. Donkeys apparently have a calming influence on cattle. But they seem to irritate dogs.

The horse is trying to talk to the cattle but the cattle have no interest in what he has to say. They're thinking "why doesn't he get off his high horse attitude and leave us alone." :)
