Good evening dear Blogger friends. I am here on the DAY. As always Skabby and I have managed a few walks despite the ongoing rain.
It always fascinates me to see a calf with different markings to its mother |
This calf was from a different cow - one with brown markings
A brown cow on the other banks of the dam looks towards me and Skabby
Above the cow several Sacred Ibis took to the air
Cattle egret in the lush green grass
Grey Heron on the opposite bank of the dam
I loved the reflection in the water
Back home I photographed this critter in my bathroom before carrying it outdoors to safety. I'm not sure what it is...
I'm linking to Saturday Critters with Eileen here
HAPPY SATURDAY TO YOU ALL
How neat to see all the water birds and the bike is fun to see too. Enjoy your week. Not sure what that grasshopper looking critter is!
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteThe cow/calf are so cute, I just love the spring baby critters. I do see Skabby running in the grass. The dogs are happy running free. The Cattle Egret and Herons are a pretty sight to see. The shot of the heron with a geese and what looks like a little duck is a great photo. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, enjoy your day! Have a happy weekend! PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
Thank you for taking us walking with you.
ReplyDeleteLove all your images from your walk. it still looks pretty wet there Jo.
ReplyDeleteNice post, love the pics!
ReplyDeletelooks like a grasshopper of some kind. love the cows, all of them, so beautiful..
ReplyDeleteWish I could walk with you in the Berg. I have not walked for several weeks, the cold I can cope with, but the icy winds are just too much and my eyes just stream apart from the fact they freeze me. Spring looks like it might be arriving next week if the forecast is right but then I will be gardening instead of walking. Keep safe Diane
ReplyDeleteNice to have the dam nearby.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking critters. Love the calf, it's so small and cute. Nice shots of the heron and egret. Hope everything is going good for you, take care Jo and have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteHerons really get around.
