A call to trust the Lord

"The Lord has said to me in the strongest terms: Do not think like everyone else does. Do not be afraid that some plan conceived behind closed doors will be the end of you. Do not fear anything except the Lord Almighty. He alone is the Holy One. If you fear Him, you need fear nothing else. He will keep you safe." Isaiah 8:11-14

If we fear man or circumstances like the storms of life, we tend to say “We cannot go out in this; we’ll never come back”

Fear of God says: “We have to go out; we don’t have to come back. " Duty calls and responsibility overcomes fear.

If we're going to walk by faith, there can be only one fear-object in our lives, and that's God. We are responsible to Him. He is the ultimate fear-object because He is omnipotent and omnipresent. The fear of the Lord is healthy because it is the one fear that expels all other fears.

Amen!

  6. Amen to that, Jo. If God is with me, whom then shall I fear?! Your faith radiates out to us in what you write.
