Grandchildren are the crowning glory of the aged; parents are the pride of their children. Proverbs 17:6
This post and Scripture is for all the grandparents who read my blog. It's also for Diane of Adventure before Dementia , Bill of Bill's Ponderings who are awaiting the imminent arrival of their first grandchild and Gattina of Writer's Cramps who has just heard the news that she is becoming a grandmother in November.

  1. Yes grand children are a delight, you can love them and spoil them like you couldn't really with your children, and you can hand them back later! Lovely picture of your 3 littlies.

I waited such a long time for this moment (my son is 37 and DIL 36) that I still can't believe it. It seems so unreal.

  10. All I can say is wow! Nice to meet you. Your blog spilling with a rich adventurous life in SA. Thank you for visiting me and I traced your "footprints" and I follow you now, too. I'm getting more hungry to know more about you and your adventures. Lovely shots! Take care sister. May the Lord bless you and protect you always.

  11. I'm going to include myself in this tribute as we have little Sofia since February bringing a lot of joy in our lives, she is such a sweetheart! I am looking forward to her growing up and I flagged a swing seat for the summer when she'll be able for it - we still have our teenager daughter's swing set in the garden from when we got it 10 years ago for her. I knew it'd come in handy again. Haven't commented on your posts in a while, hope to see you over at mine soon again!
    Thanks for this!
    Catherine.
