The moon was ready for bed on Sunday morning as we prepared to ride up to Johannesburg on our motorbike...
...and the sun was rising a few minutes later when we stopped along the road

Great photo of the moon, but I especially like the sun through the grasses.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos, Jo.
ReplyDeleteLong ago and far away, I worked day shift setting type for a daily newspaper. I lived an hour from work and my shift started at 7am. One morning I arrived at work all excited because I'd seen the moon setting and the sun rising at the same time. Those men I worked with didn't understand what all the fuss was about. I know you understand.

Both beautiful captures. Such a great way to start a road trip.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots Jo, I love the sun with her hair sweeping across her face. Just like you on a fast bike.

Great shot of the moon Jo but the one of the sunrise is stunning.

Wow, Jo these are awesome photos. I love the moon shot and the second of the sun rising is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of camera do you have to shoot such wonderful sun/moon pictures ? When I try to take a picture of the moon it looks like a hole in the black sky !
ReplyDeleteBoth photos are great, Jo! I especially like the waving silhouetted tall grasses against the gorgeous sunrise.
