For the first time in a year, the water hazard / dam on the golf course had water in it. I love the reflection of the dogs!
Bounding through the water - Eddy ears flapping, mouth open in a doggy smile and Skabenga grinning from ear to ear!
Eddy shows Skabenga the ropes of swimming!
Hello Mum, Eddy sunk a bit!
Afterwards running along the muddy banks which were hard dry the day before!
I love the bridges spanning the little brook which now has water in it!
A farm implement in the long grass made for a good photo subject
Skabenga, who now weighs more than 40kg, stands here in a typical Labrador pose
Back home while it was so hot, Skabenga had his big bath to plodge in
He splashes the water up under his tummy to cool off
Plodging is serious business!
Sitting around the corner on the patio, we can the water splashing wildly; we immediately jump up and shut the security door into the entertainment lounge!
Cape Robin-chat on the bird bath
Crested Barbet on a pole many meters away in Amanda's yard. I was pleased to see that the photo came out reasonably clearly
I'm linking to Saturday Critters with Eileen here

Always great to get a break -- here in Oregon we're all tired of the day after day rain and gray skies for the last month!! I hope all of you are enjoying your weekend!!

ReplyDeleteOur late Lab' Monty would dive into any available water; he loved it. However, he never went into the pool; either he knew it was forbidden, or he didn't like the smell of Chlorine. I'd love to know which.
ReplyDeleteFun-loving happy dogs! Enjoyed the series. Loved the farm implement and the two beautiful birds as well.
