Little Abby being taken from the ambulance at the hospital in November last year
At almost four years old, Abby is very tiny for her age - her younger brother, Liam at a year old, weighs more than she does!
Last Friday Amanda invited me and Rina to watch Abby and Joel take part in races at school.
Friend, Stella and Abby waiting for the race to begin
Below is a video of Abby taking part in her first-eveer race of 60 meters. It was amazing to see how this little girl, who gave us all such a fright at the end of last year, is now filling out; she ran so well that she came second. The voice-over is supplied by Angus; we laughed afterwards because Angus was never as athletic as our older son, John was; yet here he was bellowing at his daughter to "go-Abby-go", "faster, faster, faster" and "you're winning"!

cute little sweetie.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes!! I do agree with Tex!! A little sweetie indeed! Great captures for the day, Jo, as always!!
ReplyDeleteQuite exciting. Well done Abby!
ReplyDeleteCute clicks..!
ReplyDeleteIt was lovley to see Abby on the video being able to run so fast after all she jas been through. Good is good.
ReplyDeleteThat was so cute. Who was the little boy that came first and picked up by Rina at the end of the race?
ReplyDeleteAbbey is really a skinny minnie ! But I can assure you she will change ! I was exactly like her at that age and my father was even ashamed that people would think that I didn't get enough food ! How brave she was on the race ! Toby it one too 2 weeks ago 500 m for kids 25 for adults. He even won a medal, I wonder how because as quick he is in putting legos together as slow he is when he has to move ! lol
ReplyDeleteI read your other posts too, have to say that I am a bit lazy and often only answer on comments I get on my blog ! I am waiting for spring !
great post, adorable kids! my daughter had a seizure like that when she was about a year old...here they are called febrile seizures...she only had 1 but i would have to watch her when she would run a fever, then i guess she just outgrew it...she is now 21!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to see her blossom.
