Last weekend, Angus and Amanda invited us to come us for tea and homemade cheesecake. We arrived to find them sitting on the lawn in Amanda's beautiful garden. Amanda's mum, Celia (who is my sister-in-law) was also visiting. We had a lovely time chatting, eating cake and playing with our grandson, Joel. Later on Lourie (Amanda's dad and our pastor) arrived and joined in the party!
As has been happening since the beginning of the year, the beautiful weather soon made way for a storm brewing in the skies overhead.
After tea with Amanda and Angus in their garden, Grant drove down the street so that I could get a photo of the sun setting in a dramatically stormy sky. Aren't those clouds magnificent?
Back home in our courtyard, I took a few more photos of the skies overhead
The stormy sky with the sun setting in the background, emphasized the orange colour the berries in the Firethorn (Pyracantha spp) hanging over the wall from my neighbours garden
