Above is the road which passes through the mine property, past the camp and up to El Doret, Kenya. No, I was not on my way to El Doret when I took this photo. Stanley, my gardener and I walked up to this point to collect something. (more about that in tomorrow's post!)

It's a marvelous view. So when will you go to El Doret?
ReplyDeleteOne of Africa's many super highways.
ReplyDeleteHow special for you to have seen and trodden on this famous 'highway' in person, Jo!
ReplyDeleteNo highrise for as far as you can see. Just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteJo, looks like a great place to walk along the road birding. All those trees and bushers look like a birdies paradise. I had to laugh at Phillip's comment on the super highway.
ReplyDeleteHi Jo, First of all, let me say how much I enjoyed seeing the pictures of Ginger in the post below...
ReplyDeleteLove your photo in this post.. You live in such a gorgeous area now. You are blessed to be able to live in many areas of Africa--all being different, one from another.
Hugs,
Betsy
A gorgeous serene shot with beautiful shadow. So glad you went walking this way.
ReplyDeleteGoodness Jo...Our worlds are SO different! Thanks for bringing me Yours!
ReplyDeleteBe Safe!

ReplyDeleteThat looks so warm and beautiful. It's a very different part of the world than mine.
ReplyDeleteLovely view from that little lane. The hills surrounding it are so lush and green.
