Late critter post!

Today Amanda invited Rina and me to join her and the children on a trip to a farm stall/coffee shop outside the nearby town of Clocolan. As we were turning into the property, I spotted a strange-looking bird; Amanda stopped and I photographed it.
Rina said it was an emu
When I showed the photos to Grant and Rudi at home, they agreed it was an emu

An emu is exotic in South Africa and I don't' know it. Now I've actually seen and photographed one!

I'm linking to Saturday Critters with Eileen here
