The mountains and the waning supermoon

Giant's Castle range taken on my morning walk with the dogs yesterday (5.25am)
The same mountain range yesterday afternoon at 4.17pm

Now... the Supermoon.

I have been photographing the moon in all its phases for the last eight years. This week we had a rare phenomenon: a Supermoon - last seen in 1948; and the next sighting will be in 2034 - and we had thick clouds over our hills from Sunday until Thursday morning. *sigh*

I managed to get the Supermoon in its Waning Gibbous phase.
Waning Gibbous; visibility 88%; age 18 days; 17 November 2016

I'm linking my post to Skywatch Friday here

HAPPY FRIDAY TO YOU ALL!
