Winter Beauty

Last month my husband and I travelled through the Golden Gate Highlands National Park (here) on our way home from Kwa Zulu Natal. I took these photos when we stopped for refreshments at the National Parks Board shop.
The cypress trees, prolific in the Free State and prettier when green, formed a screen against the mountain known as Mushroom Rock. To me this has a special kind of beauty in the winter.
