First Quarter

Hi everyone. Today we had a frustrating day. We had a 12 hour ESKOM power outage. Do you know how dependent we are on electricity?

Lots and lots.

I hadn't charged my Smartphone or my router which supplies me with WiFi. I'd also woken up at 3am and worked on a project (which should have been completed by Wednesday 3 May!). I have no electricity in the rondawel so although I took my laptop to the big house at about 5.30 and began to charge it, by the time the dogs and  I returned from our walk at 6am, the electricity had been cut.

Ooooh!

Nevertheless, ESKOM had promised that our services would be up and running by 6pm and by 5.50 there was light!

This evening I was out on the lawn photographing the moon. Later I photographed the moon again.  I was amazed at how in two hours, the moon actually dipped from the right to the left. I know, I know. It's an illusion of the dark sky and the moon shape. But it was fascinating all the same.
