All's well in the Hedges household!

Hi to all my wonderful blogger friends. Thank you for your concern when I was absent from FB and here on Blog. It wasn't intentional, I promise. I AM here and I AM fine. Things have changed; moved on; improved considerably since we last connected.

First let me post the critters which I have captured in my garden this morning.

A Southern Double-collared Sunbird and of course, dear darling Skabby, my trusted guard dog and companion. He has just passed his fourth birthday, dear boy!

  2. Big Boy looks so much like your Skabby. so good to see him again. Big loves peanut butter also.. have never given him the jar, but great idea. bob gets it all out with a spatula, but this way Big would love it.

  3. I'm pleased you are OK Jo. I was reading a worrying piece on today's Telegraph magazine, and wondered how folk in South Africa are faring. I rather went off peanut butter so a half finished jar came in handy for spreading up a tree. The woodpeckers love it.

  7. Hi again Jo. Just paste butter on the main or thick branch at photography height of about 8ft. Don't forget to allow for the best light. Good luck.

  10. Hi Jo, so good to hear from you and very happy all is well in your corner of the world. The double coloured sunbird is fabulous, why is it the male birds that are the most colourful, doesn't seem fair 😉 Skabby looks happy as Larry getting the last of the peanut butter out of the jar, would have kept him busy for a while. All good here, my sister has had a tough time over the last few weeks but is happily home again now. Bit chilly and rainy, my favourite kind of weather 😀 Looking forward to hearing more news about what you've been up to, take care ✨

  11. A word of caution - It’s no longer easy to say whether it’s safe to give even a small amount of peanut butter to your dog. And there's a one-word answer as to why... Xylitol!

Xylitol is an increasingly common sugar-replacement sweetener that's in hundreds of products, including some brands of peanut butter. It's an “all natural” sugar substitute that’s fine for people, but it’s extremely poisonous to dogs and poisons thousands of dogs each year.
    Hope all is well Diane
