Stark and Beautiful

I took this photo in April 2007 in The Golden Gate Highlands National Park (which I posted about here). The early morning sky was clear. As I focussed on the silhouette of the dead tree, a wispy cloud hovered in the V formed by the branches.

  1. wow great shot
    it looks so meaningful
    thanks for sharing

  2. Very nice !!!

I like how the tree is silhouetted against the blue sky. There seems to be some light hitting the side of the tree as well..

  3. Nice clear skies. The silhouette of the tree branches makes this photo unique. Very nice capture.

    Have a great weekend.

  4. A wonderful photo, Jo. Striking. On quite another note, the letter V always makes me think of Winston Churchill and his V for Victory which inspired so many people.

  5. Very nice photo! One might think that this is the last tree before the desert.
