Mum's back!

Hi there Bozo, Lindy and all mum's blog readers. Mum's back. Whoohoo! I'm so happy. And although Dad Ginger and Unca Shadow have been fighting while mum was away, I managed to get onto the laptop and post some photos.
This is I, Ambrose, with my tongue sticking out which makes my yoomens laugh !

Unca Shadow sits in dad's bathroom window and tries to keep out of Dad Ginger's way!
Dad Ginger waits for his evening snack. He's sitting near the BEEEEG bag of kibbles which mum ordered from another F A A A R place
Mum says you can see that Dad Ginger is the Boss as Unca Shadow is very careful around him!

So as you can see, we are all very happy mum's back. We know that now she's home, tomorrow we will be able to go out into the garden again.

You all have a great week of purrs and happy tail swishing.

In transit

Hi everyone, so much for my honest intention to post while I was home in SA. We're at OR Tambo International waiting to board the plane for Dar Es Salaam.

Yes, three weeks have hurtled past and many a day I wanted to say: stop the world, I want to get off.

Yet we had good times and achieved a LOT. Most of all we managed to settle MIL into her flat in the retirement center.

AND  BEST BEST BEST of all: we have been able let the young Tanzanian cats, Tipsy and Topsy that I sent back to their yoomen in December last year, and are living in our home, outside. At the same time, our fat SA cat, Chappie, went out as well. Phew! That was a MAJOR achievement.

To my blogger friends out there, thanks for commenting even though I've been offline. Happy Birthday to dearest Betsy : what a wonderful age you are, sweet friend. At this rate I don't know if I will make 62 never mind 74! Also to Gattina and Penny who sent me e-mails: I will reply once I am back in Mwadui and resting!
Tipsy and Topsy, our two new cats in Marquard

Only a Hedges would ride a bike while still on the milk bottle

Rina and Grant entertain our precious family!

Blessings and hugs to all

See you Eastside (in Tanzania, LOL)

I'm still in Blogland!

Hi everyone!

Believe me, I'm still around! We arrived back in South Africa two weeks ago and since then it's been all systems go!

We're been to a family wedding (more later), Rina has moved into our Marquard home and Grant and I have been on a bike tour around the Cape.

On Saturday,  Grant's mum is moving to Marquard so Rina and I have been frantically busy setting up the little flat at the retirement village for her. (more about that later, too!)

We're still in SA and I'll post about the many happenings in our life!

Have a wonderful day.
