Something's afoot in the Hedges Kitty World

Hi Mum's blog readers; this is Ambrose and I smell a hat.

What's that Unca Shadow?

Oh I don't want to say "rat" as I'm scared of rats. Ewgh! 

Anyway, something is going on in the Hedges Kitty Hotel: there are boxes being packed and many bags and other things taken away in our yoomen dad's car.

Mmm. I think maybe our yoomens are moving but Mum will make sure we're safely moved as well.  

Meanwhile we kitties are sleeping as much as possible in case we have to walk to this new place...

Local School Choirs Shine

Last week while the men watched the shop for me, Estelle and I attended a concert at the Drakensberg Boys Choir School. The school itself, which is world-reknowned has a concert every Wednesday afternoon. However this concert was held on Thursday and was a concert with a difference. 

Isiphethu Sothukela Legacy Project is an extensive outreach project undertaken by the Drakensberg Boys Choir School to uplift local schools with regard to choral music and leadership development.

Finally there was an item by the massed choirs - too glorious! 

This is such an amazing project. The schools which are linked to the DBC are from remote and rural areas in the district. They are trained once a week by a DBC choirmistress and on the day we watched the concert, they all attended a workshop at the Drakensberg Boys Choir School. Not only are these children, who hail from humble origins, learning music and singing, but they're also learning English and leadership skills, improving their co-ordination and growing in confidence. 

With Eddy going across the Rainbow Bridge at the beginning of this week, I just didn't have the heart to look for and photograph critters on our walks. So I hope Eileen doesn't mind that I link this "party" to her Saturday Critters  this week.
