Although it resembles an elephant beetle which doesn't occur in Africa, I found this critter most exotic. And to date: a no name beetle.

HAPPY SATURDAY TO YOU ALL
What a wonderful beetle; beetles have so much variety, some are funny, some cute, and some fierce looking. Today on Amazon I posted a review of "The World Is Great and I Am Small: A Bug's Prayer for Mindfulness". There are lots of bug photos in it.

ReplyDeleteElephant indeed, on a miniature scale.
ReplyDeleteQuite alien to my eyes, but it's an entirely different part of the world, of course.
ReplyDeleteIt looks metallic so I thought it was a pin or something. Interesting beetle for sure and I can see the resemblance with an elephant. Maybe someone could identify it.
ReplyDeleteCrazy looking thing - I think its some form of weevil - I think that big trunk is a give away!
