Precious Gifts

Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from Him. (Psalm 127:3)

We, the proud grandparents of the four little ones pictured on this post, are truly grateful for God's precious gifts. We now have 6 1/2 year-old granddaughter, 3 year-old grandson; 10-month-old baby granddaughter and the latest addition to our family: a new grandson, one week old.

The littlest female Hedges - apple of her daddy's eye

The littlest Hedges overall - one week old and precious beyond words

May you live to enjoy your grandchildren Psalm 128:6a

  1. ♥♥♥ L-O-V-E-L-Y precious photos! ♥♥♥

  2. They are all precious! Nice post--great to see pictures of people loving their children. Wish I had known my grandfathers. I did have nice grandmothers though and was especially close to my dad's mom.

  3. Lovely photos and I can'y wait for my turn.

  4. Oh how I love my grandchildren---so I know how much you love yours too. That 10 month little girl is gorgeous. Is she and the new grandson brother and sister--or cousins????

Great pictures of all of them!

  5. Oh what beautiful children, Jo. You are truly blessed. I would love to have a grandchild.
    Sunny :)

  6. So true, Gaelyn...

Dankie Ida! Bly om jou te sien.

Hi Karen;) good to see you again. Yes, we all have had a favourite grandparent, I'm sure.

Hi diane;) you are going to love the little one...

Hi Betsy;) the baby girl is my older son and daughter-in-law's third child. She has two older siblings, a 6 yo sister and 3 yo brother. Her mummy is expecting a little brother in June. The newest week-old baby boy is her cousin - my younger son and daughter-in-law's firstborn. (((hugs))) Jo

  7. Thanks Sunny;) they really are a blessing and we enjoy them when we are home in South Africa.

  8. Your son is very handsome and the little girl is a doll. I can see why she is the apple of her daddy's eye. The new born is so precious too. Is that your daughter in law in the photo? I'm sure she is so happy to have her little one safe and sound. Children are really a precious gift for sure.

  9. Oh, Jo, your 4 grandchildren are so sweet and precious, truly gifts from God. You are fortunate to be able to have them not too far away when you're in SA. Our 2 little grandsons live 450 miles away. Thank you for sharing these sweet photos with us.

  10. What precious photo's these are, Jo .... have you heard the saying 'The greatest gift that a child can give their parents, is grandchildren' ?
