A call to obedience

This post is partly a continuation of our weekend in the Drakensberg and partly a testimony of faith and obedience.  At the end of July, Grant and I spent two days at the cottage near John and Debbie's land in the 'Berg.

John and Debbie's home in the Drakensberg at the end of July 2010

This weekend we visited them again and ...

Ta-rah!  John and Debbie's home now
"And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them" Romans 8:28

Grant and I are  blessed with sons and daughers-in-law who follow the Lord and are obedient to His guidance in every sphere of their lives.

You can read more of John and Debbie on their interesting blog  here.

  1. How wonderful, Jo... I know you are proud of those kids. They are living the kind of life which God intends... God Bless them ALL.

  2. Hi Jo --
Your photo showing the garage door end of the house cracked me up, but I'm guessing you took it there because that's where John and Grant were standing.
I just read some of John and Debbie's blog, about wondering if they had heard the right call. Life, and especially a life based on faith, can be difficult enough to make doubters out of anyone, but I like that quotation from Romans - all things, the good and the bad, work together for good.
I had my own ideas of how I thought my life should be when I was young, and then everything went wrong. Much to my surprise, it was those wrong things that put me in a position to do the most good. I won't go into details now, but maybe some day.
Meanwhile, I hope John and Debbie are beginning to see the light now that their home is built and someone is interested in their school.
    Luv, K

  3. You are all truly blessed.

The place looks magnificent. Nice to see it coming along and the cross up.

  4. I am glad to see you and your family are well. I know that God will continue to bless you and your family in all that you do!

  5. Looks nice now ! must have been a lot of work.
I am grandma of a little Toby since this morning 9.30 ! Quiet a big boy 3,700 kgs ! Cesaerian went smooth and my son could stay with her during the whole operation ! Tomorrow we go to Amsterdam (only around 200 km) to have a look on him.

Thank you for visiting my blog and taking the time to leave a comment. I appreciate your feedback. Jo
