Hedges Menagerie

Megan, Eddy and Angie enjoy their early morning ant-acid pill in my wild garden

Grant's apprentices wait at the garage doors for him to open up shop

Has Shadow taken to birdwatching? Sitting on the bird feeder, (which we use infrequently and  mainly when the fruit and berry season is over) the cat watches the world go by

  1. Grant's apprentices are so cute, Jo. Three dogs and one cat waiting for him - Grant must feel very loved!
And of course the darling import, flown in at probably great expense, but well worth it - Shadow! He looks as if he owns that bird feeder, but I'll bet he makes the birds change their minds!

  2. It looks like they have great places to play, rest, and perch.

Your mountain and sky photos are awesome!

  3. Jo...there are so many fabulous shots in this and the past several posts! The critters, gardens, birds and the reflection...great catches.

  4. Shadow is looking quite at home now. They all look so contented and well looked after. You are great pet carers.

  5. All your babies are adorable. They are enjoying your wonderful sun, too. Shadow looks like he's waiting for a bird to fly into his mouth.

  7. For a moment we thought Shadow's a garden decorative ornament. Absolutely stunning! We also love the rear view in the header. :-)

  8. I love the header and this posting so much - makes me feel so good..sandy

  9. Wow! Grant has some great apprentices! I bet we'd make great ones, too! And Shadow, you always look good! Hope you spot something worthwhile there!!

  10. What a delightful menagerie! The kitty yard ornament really caught my heart, though.

  11. I love the ones of the dogs and cat waiting for their master to open up shop, and also the one of statuesque Shadow perched on the birdbath! Cats look so stately and artful when sitting!

  12. YOu have quite a menagerie of pets, all adorable!
I wonder if Shadow is bird watching with bird catching in mind...

  13. I am so enjoying going through your pet posts, Jo. You and Grant are as caring as we are of our pets and it's clear yours are very much an important part of your lives, too. They all look so happy and healthy and they are so lucky being able to enjoy all the spaciousness of your beautiful garden. I think they live in a veritable pets' paradise!
