Joel and Abby Hedges

Thanks for all the well-wishes and get well messages. I spent the day in bed with cats and hot-water-bottle. I should be fine today but am going to take it easy until I'm really feeling energetic and my old self again!

I received more photos of dear little Abby and her older brother, Joel.

Precious little bundles of joy!

I hope you're all having a wonderful week.

  1. Oh, Jo, how wonderful.
Abby's eyes seem so dark. It will be interesting to see what colour they are when she's a bit older, because Joel has those beautiful baby-blues.
I'm glad you were able to get up, but I hope you take it easy. I might be wrong, but it seems to me you pushed yourself too hard the last time you had this dreadful malaria.
Lots of love and prayers, K

  4. I'm glad to hear you will take it easy. It's so cute to see siblings like this in photos. I love how little Joel has his arm around his baby sister :-)

  6. Jo, I could see the joy in Joel's eyes! What beautiful children. Do take care of yourself as best you possibly can. And allow Grant to help you when he offers. Don't be afraid that he will take over your household duties. Smile. After almost 4 years in S. America living at the coast - and 10 years living in Nairobi, plus flying into 24 other countries of Africa's mosquito infested areas - I only had Malaria once. I don't EVER want it again!!! Praying for you and trusting God to give you complete healing.

  7. How sweet ! and apparently she is the first who has dark hairs !
Sorry to hear that you are not feeling well, these Malaria attacks are terrible. I know from people who still suffer from it, they catched while living in the Congo (ancient colony of Belgium)
I am home again in the cold and to welcome me, it rained cats and dogs !!
