A call to trust the Lord

"The Lord has said to me in the strongest terms: Do not think like everyone else does. Do not be afraid that some plan conceived behind closed doors will be the end of you. Do not fear anything except the Lord Almighty. He alone is the Holy One. If you fear Him, you need fear nothing else. He will keep you safe." Isaiah 8:11-14

If we fear man or circumstances like the storms of life, we tend to say “We cannot go out in this; we’ll never come back”

Fear of God says: “We have to go out; we don’t have to come back. " Duty calls and responsibility overcomes fear.

If we're going to walk by faith, there can be only one fear-object in our lives, and that's God. We are responsible to Him. He is the ultimate fear-object because He is omnipotent and omnipresent. The fear of the Lord is healthy because it is the one fear that expels all other fears.

  1. Great Testimony, Jo.... You have so much faith and it shows in your words and actions.

  2. He is guiding you, I know it... I have never felt anyone being guided as much as I feel you are.

  3. Thanks Jo...I Needed this today!

  4. thanks for sharing this passage from the bible. It reminds me to walk by faith and not by sight.

  5. Thanks Betsy;) this past week has been a real test of trusting the Lord and guess what: once again He came through for me! Amen. He never fails!

Hi Grant;) I need a strong Guide living in a country so far from what I hold dear. Thanks for the edification.

    Good to see you Donna!

You're right, sEy! I have that Scripture: 2 Cor 5:7 printed and on my office notice board and in the kitchen. It's good to meet you!

  6. Amen to that, Jo. If God is with me, whom then shall I fear?! Your faith radiates out to us in what you write.
